ABOUT ME

My name is Brandon Lopez, or “BeLo” for short! I’m a 3D animator and filmmaker currently based in Chicago, Illinois. I received a BA in Animation at Rutgers University-Camden, and continued my educational career at DePaul University, receiving an MFA in Animation. I’m currently an adjunct faculty member for the animation department at DePaul University.

I specialize in 3D animation and rigging for creative productions. My approach to 3D animation is very stylized with cartoony and snappy movements. I’m big on exaggeration with bold color choices. My inspirations include PS1 & GameCube video games, Japanese pop culture, and other nostalgic elements from my childhood.

When I’m not creating art, I love going to conventions, attending movie premieres, playing video games, and entertaining my cats.
